In the kitchen, the home office, the bedroom or the children's room, the compact STERNRADIO IR 1 brings thousands of Internet radio stations and podcasts into your home thanks to the integrated WiFi connectivity.
Once it's integrated into your home network, you can enjoy virtually unlimited music and news, and a wide variety of stations from around the world. Five radio stations are pre-programmed via the shortcut buttons.
Additional Internet radio stations can be found quickly and easily by searching through the top stations, genres and countries listed on the large colour display - and all are easily selectable with the practical navigation wheel for scrolling.
You can save even more stations in your personal favorites list. In addition, a number of sounds have been specially integrated to help you fall asleep and wake up. For example, choose the soothing patter of raindrops, laid-back piano music or birdsong from the "sleep radio list".
The STERNRADIO IR 1 also offers helpful alarm, snooze and sleep timer functions. The display can be dimmed in two stages if desired and can even switch from a full color display to a monochrome screen.
As an alternative to Internet radio, the STERNRADIO IR 1 also plays music from sources connected to the AUX IN jack, such as an MP3 player. Or you can stream music from your home network via UPnP to the built-in speaker.
Instead of using the speaker, you can also listen to music by connecting headphones to the 3.5 mm jack. The power switch on the back of the device completely disconnects the radio from the power supply.
