Danone - Building USERS’ independence in the purchasing processDanone’s old IT procurement system was not as user friendly as it could have been, and Karolina Tojak, IT Support Specialist PBN was given a green light to fill the gaps in efficiency and other aspects of their procurement process. After the project to revamp the Danone procurement process for indirect the user feedback was very positive e.g. “Now I only use one platform to place orders.” “I feel confident because I have all the necessary instructions.” “I can see all the necessary information when placing an order.” “I get order status updates.” “Browsing the available products does not oblige me to buy anything.” “I know who to contact in case of problems.”At Markit Forum 2023, Karolina explained that before the revamp, indirect procurement was solely based on a ticketing system with 30 – 50 open tickets per month. Two separate systems were required to fulfil an order. The process could be slow (1-4 weeks), had low management oversight and lacked a clear manual and standardisation. Once the overhaul was complete there were significant advantages: One platform for placing orders Costs saving Time saving Build users’ independence in the process Purchase process standardisation Orders management improvement For more details watch the Danone presentation on YouTube now. --- Read the main Markit Forum 2023 Report or check the other individual client presentation reports from: BCG (Boston Consulting Group) - Overcoming challenges of the global partner model in IT procurement Cabot - Digital IT procurement and the benefits of punchout CBRE - Gaining control over CAPEX And OPEX expenditure in IT procurement Zoetis - Vendor relationship management Hurtigruten - Steering procurement from local to global in a 130-year-old cruise tourism company
