Mārketinga apraksts

From DNA sequencing to hi-definition video surveillance to seismic exploration, customers across industries are experiencing tremendous growth in unstructured digital assets called big data. This digital content is very high in volume, is growing at high rates, and has great value to the business or institution. Quantum's StorNext Appliances are purpose-built for big data with big files, providing customers with high-performance, highly-scalable solutions that are cost-effective and easy to manage.
The StorNext AEL Archives combine data management policies with cost-effective tape storage to deliver PBs of data accessible to users through a simple file system interface. The StorNext AEL500 Archive allows customers to retain over 600 TBs (over 400 slots). By combining the StorNext file system capabilities with the StorNext AEL, customers can store frequently-accessed data on high-performance storage and move seldom-accessed data to inexpensive tape media that requires very little power, cooling, or floor space. The data migration and tiering is all transparent to the customer - when a user saves a file to the StorNext file system, it remains accessible, regardless of its current location.

Galvenās priekšrocības

  • First solution of its kind - a Quantum exclusive - unified StorNext archiving solution with continuous off-line tape data integrity checking
  • Automated tiering saves money - storage tiering automatically migrates data based on user access ensuring that the most frequently accessed data resides on disk and less frequently accessed data resides on less expensive tape media
  • Self-healing solution - when a suspect tape cartridge is identified, EDLM policies automatically copies data on suspect media to new media
  • Reduced management - automated data tiering, tape data integrity checking + self-healing means less management time and optimal utilization
  • Ultimate TCO with slot based pricing model - customers effectively double their capacity with each new tape technology release
  • Capacity-on-demand growth - simplifies storage growth by scaling quickly, easily and without disruption

Preces funkcionalitāte

  • Stornext solutions for big data
From DNA sequencing to hi-definition video surveillance to seismic exploration, customers across industries are experiencing tremendous growth in unstructured digital assets called big data. This digital content is very high in volume, is growing at high rates, and has great value to the business or institution. Quantum's StorNext Appliances are purpose-built for big data with big files, providing customers with high-performance, highly-scalable solutions that are cost-effective and easy to manage.
  • Cost-effective tiered storage
  • Long-term data integrity
The StorNext AEL products include policy-based data integrity checking which gives customers the additional assurance of knowing that the data in the archive will be ready when it's needed. StorNext AEL includes a feature called Extended Data Life Management (EDLM) that tests and verifies the media in the archive and provides health reports for all cartridges. If EDLM identifies a suspect tape cartridge, it automatically copies the data on the original cartridge to a new cartridge. This data integrity capability ensures that valuable content is always available for user access or disaster recovery.
  • Investment protection
StorNext AEL Archives also utilize a slot-based pricing model that guarantees investment protection over the long term storage of the data. As tape media capacities increase from one generation to another, the capacity of the StorNext AEL Archives increase - with no additional software license fees - making the initial investment affordable and its long-term TCO unbeatable.
